How to make mothers day cards with a Cricut!!

Mothers day is fast approaching and I am panicking!! I finally got the perfect for my mom but I can't tell you because my mom reads my blog. ( Hi mom!!) Then I was thinking...... What about a card!? I can't exactly go to the store right now ( Thanks a lot quarantine...) And homemade cards are cute but how could I step it up? 1 year ago I finally convinced my mom to get a Cricut and we absolutely love it! So I used my colored pens and got to work! So I am going to show you how to do it!

The materials you'll need:

• Copy paper ( or cardstock)

• Cricut pens ( or thin crayola marker)

• Cricut machine

• Ruler

First: On your Cricut design page design your card! Make it any way you want this is your card! Highlight the text and change it from cut to draw. If you want different colors highlight the word or sentence and change the color (box next to where you changed it to draw) This is what my design looked like. ( I ended up changing a few things. I changed the font and took off the arrow.)

Second: Measure out the paper and how big the design is. Make sure it will all fit on the paper. The numbers at the top show how long the width would be in inches and the side numbers is the length in inches as well.

Third: Fold the paper like a regular card and place it on the mat. If the card opens easily you can tape the edge. Make sure that the tape is not where the writing will go.

Fourth: Place the paper on the mat and change the dial to paper. Place the pen in the compartment and your set! Follow the instructions that the Cricut program tells you. If you had changed the color it will stop the process and tell you to change the color. You can change the pen then hit the start button and it will begin where it left off.

You can write whatever you want on the inside! That is it for the mothers day card! I hope you enjoyed!!
